A new Lover
Someone has taken a real fancy towards me and I honestly am not liking it one bit. I now know how it feels, when someone loves you so much and you just don’t feel the same way back.
I think it all started a couple of months back, when I was weak, vulnerable and exhausted. He found me and thought he could help. It started with brief encounters once in a blue moon and soon turned into day long monthly visits. I never read into the signs and didn’t pay much attention to where it was headed. Looking back, I can see the final straw was my blog last month. I should have known for someone who has been alone, unloved and abused all these years, a little encouragement from my side would tip the balance a long way.
If you haven’t guessed his name yet, he is none other than “Mr. Flu”. He visited again yesterday and has refused to leave since, even after the toughest of interventions. This time the visit has been painfully long and most certainly unwelcome. I am no longer enjoying the feeling of getting sick and am going to take serious measures to ensure the message is understood. This blog being one of the first steps.
Mr. Flu if you are reading, this one is especially for you. You have a right to exist, but definitely not near me or my loved ones. If you do not leave us alone, you will face dire consequences in the near future. If all you are looking for is love, I suggest you contact some of your friends in the Viral and Fungal communities. I am sure they will find your company most exciting.
Don’t get me wrong; I wish you well and hope you live happily ever after with someone who is more compatible with you! I am just not the one.
